Basics of OSB

OSB, briefly called OSB panels are made of long tightly pressed chips and solid plates. Formerly they were inexpensive product of the timber industry, but now they are specially made because they are useful stable and versatile materials. In addition, they have also visually unique charm.

Good features
The OSB panels are made of extra long chips. This distinguishes them from normal particle board. These long chips provide greater stability for a special additional flexibility and are also visually appealing. So they are often used for decorative purposes. The chips are glued to the plate and make little permeable to water vapor.

Outdoor use
The OSB panels should be with weather resistant coating which protect them from abrasion and soaking. However, it is advisable to OSB panels from rain something to use, although they also provide particularly suitable to roof and facade.

Indoor use
OSB panels can be used for all interior woodwork, shelves, furniture pieces, as supporting elements or for decorative purposes. They are used particularly often for just the shell in the roof interior.

Quality

* OSB1 for the complete interior in drying
* OSB2 for load-bearing structures in drying
* OSB3 for load-bearing structures in wet
* OSB4 as OSB3, only very massive for heavy loads

Size
OSB panels are available in sizes 12mm, 15mm, 18mm, 21-22mm or 25mm, mostly uncut in size 125x250cm. Depending on the provider you get it too unpolished or painted in the sizes 205 × 67.5 cm, 250x60cm, 250 × 62.5 cm and 67.5 cm 250x.
