Install a phone jack (RJ45)

To connect a phone jack, nothing complicated. But be very careful in the observance of codes of color son to use. They absolutely must be the same as the existing facility.

Measure the correct length of cable

Determine the location of the phone jack to suit your needs.Drill the wall plugs and screw the housing of the RJ 45 on the wall. Measure the length of wire you need to connect the telephone communication box.

Phone Jack: install the connector

Locate the color codes of connections already present in your home. For the connector (the plug on cable):
- Drawing the cable about 50 mm and without bending without twist;
- Remove the twisted pairs of conductors by straightening. Separate the strands, place them in a star;
- Slide the wires in the strands of connection in the colors. Close the shutters that establish contact between the conductor and connector. Connect the ground conductor;
- Cut the elements beyond the connector. 

Repeat on the other end of the wire. Go now connecting the phone jack.

Drawing the cable about 30 mm. Remove the twists of the pairs, straighten them and place them in the order chosen (identical to your other measures already in place).Hold them in place with two fingers and cut the same length (about 10 mm from the sheath). Insert the wires in the socket. Connect the wire with two connectors on one side to the outlet and the other in case of communication.
