General Cleaning

Before you tackle the limestone, clean the faucet with a sponge and a conventional household product. Do not use if you include a sponge, scraping the side because you might scratch your faucet.

Calc

This type of product is commonly found in supermarkets. Spray it, then let sit for several minutes before cleaning with a sponge. If the signs are stubborn, rub a little harder. Rinse the tap to remove all traces of limestone. This solution is suitable for routine maintenance .

White vinegar

Faced with significant deposits of tartar, you can use immediately of white vinegar. Very effective, this solution also has a green cleaning product that costs five to six times cheaper than domestic scale prevention.

Pour vinegar into a saucepan and heat it without bringing it to boil . Soak a cotton cloth (or towel) and wrap it with parts of the calcified valve.

Squeeze the cloth with a rubber band to hold it well and let sit at least two hours. After this period, remove the rubber band and rub lightly with cloth to remove the limestone. Against any stubborn stains, use a toothbrush. Rinse thoroughly then tap to restore its luster.

Clean the aerator

To clean the froth depth, it should unscrew by hand. If he resists, surround it with a cloth and use a pliers. Once the froth is removed, soak in hot vinegar . Two hours later, it will be like new.Rinse, as above, before giving up.
