Step 1: Cool
To begin, wait until the wax hardens. Leave it natural or rub the wax job with an ice cube wrapped in plastic. You can also place the object to clean the freezer if its size permits.Step 2: Scratch
Once the wax hardened, scrape it gently. Above all, do not scrape too hard because you might damage the surface. A butter knife, a phone card or spatula are good options for this operation.Remove only the pieces of wax that detach easily.Step 3: Heat the wax
Now place a blotting paper or paper towels over the wax on each side of the fabric if possible. Then the stain with a warm iron. Be careful that the iron is not too hot, as this could further extend the stain. The heat melts the wax so that the blotter absorbs. Repeat until the complete disappearance of the wax. If there are marks on the canvas, remove them with a cotton soaked in ethyl alcohol.Another solution is equally effective, but still tedious, is to rub the wax by hand. The friction heats the wax of the movement and converts it into pellets easy to remove.
