What solutions to get rid of cockroaches?

Nothing worse than living with a colony of cockroaches (perhaps that of rats ?). To get rid of, here are some recipes and chemical solutions. Remember to supplement them with basic hygiene measures to prevent the onset or return of cockroaches.

Home recipes

Boric acid , powder available in pharmacies is both very cheap and very effective:

- Mix it with condensed milk to form a paste. Put it in places frequented by undesirables.
- Dissolve it in water and apply it along baseboards, in cupboards, under sinks, behind and under furniture, in short, in the interstices through which the cockroaches come.

You can also coat the inside of a tin of vaseline , and place a bait (sugar water, for example): it's a trap infallible.

NB: Please note that cockroaches hate the cold. So if you live in a cold, high altitude, for example, and you can cool the temperature of your house or apartment to -4 ° C (or up to a temperature even colder) during 12 hours or more, enjoy!

Insecticides

Choose products made from diatomaceous earth, very effective and nontoxic. There are also sticky traps which remain taped cockroaches.

If you live in a house, there is always the possibility of gassing , with all the inconveniences that entails: eviction of one to two days, repeated after a few months, etc..
